A photomarathon is a photography event with a difference. On a Saturday in Melbourne, over the course of nine hours take nine photos of nine topics. Let loose with your creativity; age, ability and experience are all irrelevant

The public exhibition of PM 2017 will run from May 13 to 26 at Magnet Gallery
The opening night and prize giving will be Friday May 12 – put the date in your diary!
The first step of taking part in the PM is registration in the morning. During registration your camera and memory card will be checked and verified to ensure both are clean with no previous images.
Upon registration you will be given your first three topics, these will range from specific items to abstract ideas. It is an essential part of the event that you take the pictures in the order they are provided.
At 1pm the next three topics will be released, and at 4pm the final three topics; you'll need to come collect in person from our central hub. Once you have your nine photographs, return to HQ at Magnet Gallery for submittal where your portfolio will be directly downloaded from your memory card.
After a two week judging period, every portfolio from all participants will be on display during a two week public exhibition at Magnet Gallery in the CBD. The opening night of the exhibition will also be the announcement of the winners and prize giving ceremony. It's going to be quite a collection
